About The Akins:

What began 30+ years ago as a father traveling with his young sons has developed into a ministry made up of three godly men with a unified calling.

David, Nick and Eli Akin have followed God’s calling to encourage the church, share the Gospel, and fight for hurting families.

This unique ministry may be different than anything you have experienced before.

As talented musicians, The Akins use their God-given gifts to usher others into worship. Their signature harmonies, live instruments, and original songs are multi-generational. Music brings people together and The Akins engage people of all ages with their multi-faceted concerts which often include a capella classic hymns, contemporary originals, and current praise and worship songs, all in an unforgettable style.

As transparent speakers, The Akins use personal stories with Biblical application to present the Gospel and the truths of God’s word in a real and relatable format. With the leading of the Holy Spirit, The Akins seek to speak truth and show God’s love with humble hearts.

The Akins Ministry History:

In 1986 David Akin was called by God to become a music evangelist. After much prayer, he gave his notice at his job and has been living by faith ever since. He involved his three young sons in the ministry, allowing them to sing and play instruments on certain songs during his concerts. As they grew, God blessed Davey, Nick, and Eli with musical talents including songwriting, playing multiple instruments, and recording and producing their own albums. After serving alongside his father for many years, Davey followed God’s calling to attend New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He resides in New Orleans with his wife and three children. As adults, Eli and Nick have followed the calling God has placed on their lives to continue ministering alongside David. Now fathers with children of their own, Nick and Eli are able to share the stage with their small children for certain songs during their concert. As a family ministry, The Akins have a heart for today’s families and the struggles we all face together.

The Akins have released several albums over the years. They are most known for their radio single, “I Want My Stage To Be An Altar” from their self-titled album. This original song, written by Nick, speaks to the heart of this ministry, as The Akins desire to let everything they do point to the Lord. Their most recent CD release, Eyes On The Road, features 10 all new original songs. A new praise and worship album combining recognizable worship songs with new original material is coming soon.
